INTRODUCTION

1- Back Ground of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. Presbyterian Missionaries started coming to sub-continent )once Pakistan and India ), in 1856 they established two Independent Presbyterian Churches historically known as the:
     a. Lahore church Council of the church 
     b. Synod of the United Presbyterian church of Pakistan 

2- Both these bodies amalgamated on August  25, 1993 and  formed a new united Church called “ THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF PAKISTAN”.
3- Different organization coming top Pakistan: Other than the two organization mentioned above the  Presbyterian Missionaries who came to Pakistan also worked
Under the following entities:
     a. The Sialkot Mission of the united Presbyterian church in U.S.A.
     b. The board of the foreign  Mission of the united Presbyterian church in U.S.A.
     c. The American Mission.
     d. The women’s General Missionary Society of North America.

4- These organization now fall under the title of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES 

The aims and objectives of the Presbyterian church of Pakistan are as under:

1- To make the word of God known to all and spared the Good New Jesus Christ.
2- To make disciples and prepare them for God 
3- To care for and supervise the spiritual needs of the Church.
4- To work for the kingdom of God 
5- To establish and run for charitable purpose, hospitals clinics, dispenser Community health programmers, educational institutions, literacy Community  development  programs.
6- To establish theological institutions and organize other Spiritual program.
7- To co-operate with other Churches on an ecumenical basis.
8- To build and maintain Church buildings and pastor houses.

3- Adult Basic Education Society (ABES).
4- Society for Community Development (SCD).
5- Pakistan Bible Correspondence Institution, Faislabad Center .
6- United Bible Training Center Gujranwala .
7- Gujranwala Theological Seminary.
8- Intensive Agricultural project (IAP)
9- Pakistan Christian Recording Ministers and Evangelists.
10- Benefits plan for Presbyterian Ministers and Evangelists.
11- Forman Christian College ( A Charted University Lahore).
